on a wick and a prayer

I was commissioned to create a two minute video advertisement for the local candle business On A Wick & A Prayer. I worked closely with the owners to stay true to their brand representation and created multiple rough cuts and reviews until the found the cut which best showed the business objective. They were delighted with the outcome. From this experience I learnt about brand representation, structure, collaborative visions and editing. From this I gained valuable practical experience in creating video adverts.

 

As part of my advertising coursework unit I created a video Wrote, Produced, Directed, Shot and Edited my own Solstice energy drink commercial in response to a solstice commission. This was designed to be a detailed, fast paced, high energy, informative and inspiring commercial which aims to encourage the user into purchasing the energy drink product and engaging the desirable demonstrated activities. I also received a distinction in this unit and I believe that this high quality commercial was a significant key factor in that as it stood out form the rest of the multi media campaign content.

Through word of mouth I was offered an animated advertising job where I was commission by BluPair Tech to create a high energy, narrated, informative advert to encourage consumers to buy there product. I was in extensive communication with the client and received multiple briefs and revision notes in order to design the desired advert. For this I extended my knowledge of transitions and Adobe After Effects. Working with Adobe Stock presets and copyright free stock footage to develop a finished product.

 

In-sight

This is a Facebook advert which I created to summaries our In-Sight campaign and encourage those who may have seen some of our content to come view the new content and take a look at the crowd funder. Benjamin Atkinson Distributed the Facebook advert by targeting those who had already had an impression from our content and a reasonable amount of budget was spent on the success of this advert. On particular challenge was the Facebook algorithm refusing our advert because it broke their community guidelines. We figured out that it was because of the use of COVID in the advert and we therefore overcame the challenge.

 

Here is the crowd funder introduction video that we used to introduce ourselves, the story and the crowd funder targets and proposals. Due to a large hardworking team the crowd funder was a brilliant success and exceeded its target of five thousand pounds.

 

Myself and Benjamin Atkinson developed a collaborative online Team Cloud After Effects project. With in this we could edit in the same time remotely and create/source/animate the necessary assets in order to create the map animation and a well paced structure as we cut to each traveller.

 

I also edited a congratulations video to celebrate the hard work paying off and to create a fun and entertaining experience for our campaigns social media audience. Encouraging them to feel included as they have been a crucial part of the success.

 

Wild boars

Because of my networking with award winning Director Nathan Hannawin and assosciate producer Bailey fear this summer I was commissioned to make a short 30 second advert for the Wild Boars crowdfunding campaign. The quality of my In-Sight promotional material has been highlighted as a key reason for why I have been commissioned to help them out with editing some video marketing content.
